This workshop will be conducted once again by Top Straight 'A' Performance Coach, Ex-NJC Top Scorer and Public Speaking Executive Coach, Mr T. Kwang. Continuing the herculean success of 2011 and 2012's Emergency workshop, this year's workshop will include important tips and techniques for the 2 areas of the Oral Examination: Reading Aloud and Spoken Interaction. With the tips and techniques taught during the workshop, candidates will be well prepared to ACE the 'O' Level English Oral Examinations. Below would be a comprehensive (but not exhaustive) list of areas and concerns covered by the workshop:
-The Best and Safest way to read a passage where a candidate will be able to score the most points; and also commit zero gross errors.
-Important Pacing and Tempo Techniques for reading aloud. Candidates will be able to read with a significantly wider range of expression. Note: This is what examiners are looking for before they can award an 'A' grade for the English Oral Assessment.
-How to answer the examiner when a tough or unexpected question is posed. Take note: Tough questions are excellent opportunities to show to the examiner that the candidate is cut above the rest.
-How to answer a seemingly straightforward question in a way which displays depth of thought and meticulous consideration.
-How to avoid the 3 deadly mistakes which cause most students to be stuck in the 'B' or 'C' grade for the English Oral Assessment. Take note: Even students who are supposedly excellent and fluent in English do commit these mistakes.

-Describing the given article (in most cases, a picture) in a way which scores the most points, and puts the candidate well ahead of his/her peers. The examiner will be thoroughly impressed after hearing the candidate's description of the given article.
-Additional Advanced techniques on spoken interaction. Methods such as "Zoom in Zoom out" and "Pendulum" will be taught during the workshop. Just knowing one of these techniques will put a candidate well ahead of his/her peers.
-The "Triangularity Technique" to ensure that the candidate displays a clear awareness of the overarching theme of the passage, article and question. Note: This is what examiners are looking for before they can award an 'A' grade for the English Oral Assessment.
